Aaron Olds

Aaron Olds is a flight dynamics and guidance, navigation, and control engineer specializing in analysis, design, and operations of launch vehicles, spacecraft, and aircraft. As a consultant, he has drawn from nearly 20 years of experience to provide high quality GN&C services for several aerospace startups, from requirements development and subsystem design to software implementation and vehicle commissioning.

As a GN&C engineer at SpaceX, Aaron contributed to the development of Falcon 9 first stage recovery methods and Crew Dragon design, simulation, and subsystem testing. He supported multiple Cargo Dragon flights to the International Space Station as a mission designer and NAV operator in mission control.

Aaron leverages a knowledge of best practices developed over his years at NASA Langley, supporting Ares-IX, IRVE-3, and LDSD flight test campaigns.
